General
description
The Dordogne deployment plan will be split into two
phases:
a first phase with the deployment of MAP Knowledge Management services on 25 social
centres all over the department. This will lead to the connection of all sites, such as Territorial
Units and Medical-Centres to MAP
in a second phase, CG24 will investigate the possibility to deploy MAP towards the extension
to others services such as Transportation, Municipality grants. 574 municipalities are
concerned.
In term of economic repercussions for the Dordogne, MAP will offer to the public agents such as the employees
of the Social sector, a perennial solution of the information system with the aim to reduce current
costs.
MAP will cover the following
needs:
The MAP portal will allow a faster access to information, compared to the decision-making
systems which are often too slow and only limited to few databases.
A customized Workflow Management System: supporting dynamic changes of workflows without
losing the control on data and Information management. In the meantime, there is a
need to manage a strong content through adapted processes into a specific environment
where flexibility is a must.
E-procedures: the access to the administrative procedures will be easy as the feedback from
public agents and citizens will be facilitated (such as the matching of the needs with the covered
subjects).
E-Learning: the knowledge transfer will be reinforced, with a good
optimization.
Taking into account the initial results (validation of the pilot services, technical performances...) and the
general context, the objectives are as follows:
Offer by the end of MS2 an integrated service package limited to Solidarity and Prevention
Management Department (DDSP) services in order to gradually deploy MAP due to interoperability
of existing services and infrastructure.
Assess the validity of the ASP model for medical reservation in centres of the general council,
though this model improves the overall TCO.
Engage the on field agents in orders to let them benefit from the advantage of the mobile on
line services.
Extend the scope of MAP to fields other than social/medical action.
The rollout operations constitute the logical continuation of the initial MAP results in the Dordogne as
required from some internal departments.
Moreover, a regional deployment plan will be elaborated at the end of the operation. This plan will envisage
the various solutions concerning the evolution of MAP (ex: addition of services) but also how a
maximum of services or organizations could profit from MAP services (social grant calculation, housing,
emergency aid).
Involved departments
The General Council of Dordogne has established the following list for the roll out of
MAP:

The first two sites hosted the experiments for the first R&D phase of the project in 2002. The figures mentioned
in first column represent the level of priority for implementation. This list is the result of a previous
study which used a validated list of criteria, established upon technical and organizational constraints.
MAP users
The whole deployment plan for Dordogne concerns 260 users (managers, social workers or secretaries)
and addresses 400.000 citizens.
